Am bietet die Desktop-Version des Cloud-Players jetzt auch für Mac OS-X an. Das Programm dient zum Abspielen von bei Amazon erworben Songs sowie auch lokal gespeicherter Musik. Die iTunes Mediathek wird ebenfalls sofort erkannt. Neu erworbene Songs werden automatisch der Bibliothek hinzugefügt. Die neue Suchfunktion “ Search & Play“ liefert, ähnlich wie iTunes Ergebnisse sofort während der Eingabe.
Amazon integriert ähnlich wie in iTunes den Zugang zum Amazon-Music-Store. Der Wechsel zwischen Cloud- und lokaler Bibliothek geht schnell von der Hand und arbeitet lückenlos mit dem iOS- und Android-Apps auf Smartphone oder Tablet zusammen.
